Our list of the greatest cartoons of all time wouldn't be complete without putting everyone’s favorite cat & mouse in the spotlight. Tom is always on Jerry’s tail and even though he tries every trick and trap in the book, no amount of deception can prevent Jerry from getting a tasty lunch. 

2. Looney Tunes

So you want to watch the best cartoons of all time?! For most cartoon lovers, the Looney Tunes franchise needs very little introduction. This popular American animated comedy series from Warner Bros is a collection of hilarious short films that started running in 1930.

Elmer J. Fudd, Bugs Bunny, Yosemite Sam, and Daffy Duck are some famous characters from this widely popular American cartoon franchise. Today, Looney Tunes is part of the streaming service on popular online platforms like HBO. 

3. Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

5. Teen Titans

6. Avatar: The Last Airbender

Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender has a 9.2 out of 10-star IMDb rating so you can be sure you're watching one of the best cartoons of all time.

This American TV series ran for 3 seasons and its plot plays out at a time when the Earth was divided into 4 different factions. There was the Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Air Nomads, and the Water Tribe. Each of them possesses the power to manipulate the natural element after which they were named.  The Avatar, however, was the sole master of all the elements. 

7. The Simpsons

With a 4.8 out of 5-star overall audience rating, The Simpsons is an American animated series that belongs among the best cartoons of all time. This adult-themed cartoon sitcom depicts the dysfunctional family of Homer Simpson a working-class father as they cope with every day ups-&-downs in the town of Springfield.

You can expect lots of hilarious situations involving Homer, his wife Marge, and their children Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. There’s also an interesting collection of supporting characters. 

8. The Bugs Bunny Show

Americans can sleep tight because their fate is safe in Dexter’s hands. Dexter is a child genius and the protagonist in one of the best cartoons of all time. This American cartoon from the sci-fi TV genre revolves around his knack for inventing dazzling inventions to save the world from inside his top-secret laboratory. 

Dexter also has an elder sister called Dee Dee who frequently wreaks havoc on his lab and experiments. However, Mandark is his brilliant rival and bigger nemesis at the Huber Elementary school.
